
Brembo buys Danish brand SBS Friction A / S / Motonovisti / BikePost
The Italian manufacturer of braking systems and components Brembo continues to invest and take over.
In April this year, Brembo bought part of the Pirelli business, and now the Italians have invested in the acquisition of the Danish brake manufacturer SBS Friction A / S, known for its SBS brake pad line.
Under the deal, Brembo bought 100 percent of the Danish company, which cost the Italian company DKK 224 million ($ 36 million). At the same time, SBS was estimated at 300 million Danish kroner, that is, the deal turned out to be profitable.

The purchase of the SBS Friction A / S is an important step for Brembo, as SBS is the number 1 pad manufacturer in Europe. The brand is known all over the world. The SBS Friction A / S plant in Svennborg, Denmark employs 200 people. Brembo is not planning to significantly change the structure of SBS, but a rebranding is possible.
